I've had several people ask about the 76th Battalion recently, so I thought I'd add a blog to the site.

What's it all about?
In the fall of 2006, Tristan (a member of fireflyfans.net) asked if anyone at fff.net would be interested in marching in the parade at Dragon*Con in 2007. There were a few of us that were interested, so the battalion was created. Early on, it was decided that we would be the 76th because in one of the out takes that wasn't included in the series Zoe approached Mal in Serenity Valley saying that there were 3 more dead from the 76th battalion. We thought it would be a way to be included in the 'verse.

I just came across this link on reddit. It's a science quiz that the Pew Research Center gave to a random group of 1,005 Americans in June 2009 (only 10% got all 12 questions right).

I think I saw a trailer for this film sometime in the spring. I remember thinking it looked interesting. I'm a sucker for movies about aliens. What I didn't know was- this isn't just aliens... It's aliens and a CONSPIRACY! Oh man, now we're talking! The new trailer looks just great! (There are some naughty words in the comments below the preview, just in case you're at work)
