Tuesday night (tomorrow, May 18th), is the moment we've been waiting for... well, some of us anyway. Joss Whedon is guest directing this week's Glee featuring guest star Neil Patrick Harris. It's gonna be legen... yeah, you know what's coming... dary!

Dream on will focus on the return of Will Schuester's high school nemesis (NPH), Artie's dream of walking again, and Rachael's wish to find her mother (she lives with her two dads). It should be an effectively emotionally charged episode along the lines of what we'd expect from the best episodes of Glee and Joss. Just don't expect it to be pure Joss. He did not write this episode, nor did he have any input in where it leads. He is only a guest director, meaning the influences you'll see are in camera angles, blocking, and timing... which are some of his high points, but don't expect anyone to die or clever dialog any more than what the show already offers. Mostly... I really hope he gets to play with Jane Lynch's Sue Sylvester a bit. I'd watch a show of nothing but her rants.
