Discover the Signal: Browncoat Scavenger Hunt
10:00 a.m. to 2:00 a.m.
The Arizona Browncoats, Browncoats: Redemption, and Bookmans Entertainment Exchange will be hosting a unique scavenger hunt on Saturday to benefit Kids Need to Read. Five years ago Serenity taught us you can't stop the signal; now you have a chance to be part of it. Of the many Browncoats attending Phoenix Comicon, 27 have been marked with a special ribbon and given a letter. Your task is to find each of the 27 Browncoats, learn their letter, and then unscramble the letters to reveal a hidden phrase. The first person to return to the Kids Need to Read booth with a completed game card and the decoded phrase will win a gift basket filled with goodies from Kids Need to Read, Browncoats: Redemption, and Bookmans, including an Alliance bill used on the set of Serenity and signed by Nathan Fillion. You can pick up a game card for a $5 donation at the Kids Need to Read booth beginning Friday afternoon. The game itself will commence with the start of Con activity on Saturday and end when someone wins or with the close of the Geek Prom that evening. If you get stuck, clues will be available at the Kids Need to Read booth in exchange for additional $2 donations. All proceeds of the Browncoat Scavenger Hunt will go directly to Kids Need to Read.

Geek Prom
10:00 p.m. to 2:00 a.m.
Geek out and rock Saturday night away with Felicia Day, Wil Wheaton, and Aaron Douglas at the first annual Geek Prom & Celebrity Rock Band Party! Expect fun, activities and prizes! Celebrate your inner Geek by facing off in the clash of Celebrity Rock Band, attempt to claim victory in the Geek dance-off, have your stylin’ photo taken underneath the Geek Prom Arch, and vie to be crowned Geek Prom King and Queen in this Geek-tacular event! There will be food and drink cash bars available. Entry fee is only $5.00 (extra charge for photographs) and all proceeds will benefit Kids Need to Read. Dress code is Geek casual or formal – real Geeks won’t even need a costume!

We'll be helping Kids Need to Read and Bookmans Entertainment Exchange set-up for Geek Prom and then keep it geeking! Hope to see you there!
