Big news in the Whedon world recently...
Out of the great Northwest our friend GermanCityGirl offers up the big news!
We all eagerly await The Avengers, right? The 2012 blockbuster that brings together a team of superheroes to save Earth... directed by our beloved Joss? Yeah. We're eager for that. Bring on the midnight showing! But when the news of a Whedon-directed Shakespeare play hit the internet... well, let's just say that the indie film caused some major buzz.
Stolen shamefully from the press release:
more after the break...
Joss,
Thank you for making all of our lives just a little bit better by letting us enjoy true, creative, intelligent entertainment. Here's wishing you a shiny birthday!
-Jennifer
P.S. Stop selling your TV programs to Fox!
Glee's "Dream On" episode was by pretty much all accounts legen... that's played out isn't it? It was great. It was a more dramatic episode than usual, and Joss's style could be seen in how he cut out a lot of the noise and really let the performances speak for themselves. Most importantly to me? There was only one song with noticeable autotune, and that was Safety Dance so that's forgivable.
Tuesday night (tomorrow, May 18th), is the moment we've been waiting for... well, some of us anyway. Joss Whedon is guest directing this week's Glee featuring guest star Neil Patrick Harris. It's gonna be legen... yeah, you know what's coming... dary!
